These terms govern your use of Budget App ("the App"), a personal budgeting tool operated by ThePlaceLabs. By using the App you agree to these terms.

The service

The App helps you budget around an income timeline and imports transactions from your financial institutions through Plaid. It is provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

Not financial advice

The App presents your own financial data and projections for informational purposes only. It is not financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Figures are estimates derived from imported and entered data and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify anything important against your institution's official statements before making decisions.

Bank connections (Plaid)

Linking an institution is handled by Plaid. Your use of that connection is also subject to Plaid's end-user terms (https://plaid.com/legal). You are responsible for the accuracy of any data you enter manually.

Your account

Access is through ThePlaceLabs single sign-on. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time; deletion permanently removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

The App is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ThePlaceLabs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, or for decisions made in reliance on data or projections it presents.
